Resurrection & Re-Creation

The journey has been long from Ash Wednesday to Good Friday and now the time of our “Risen Savior” calls us to rejoice! It is Resurrection Sunday!! Praise God!!!

As the tomb is now empty and Mary Magdalene experiences first-hand, finding the stone rolled away. After this discovery happens and to later see the miraculously resurrected Jesus, she runs to let the disciples know that she has seen the Lord. That testimony of Mary Magdalene seeing Jesus begins the witness for so many others and us today.

It is much again like the flowers blooming and the springtime bulbs coming to life. In this moment of reflection, the thought of a baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes (most likely similar to the grave clothes) laying in a manger to bring us life eternally gives us Hope, Peace, Joy & Love.

What a story to be told knowing that Jesus had foretold that He would rise again. Jesus shook off, then unwrapping those grave clothes made from strips of linen and the sweet-smelling spices that had covered His body.

May this Resurrection Sunday begin with the newness of Christ in our lives being transformed again to live with greater and renewed purpose.

Can you find explore new opportunities to share your life in Christ? Maybe taking a different walking route through the neighborhood and meeting new friends.

Let us join with family and friends on this Easter Sunday in celebration of our Resurrected Savior. The sermon is titled “JESUS – Resurrection & Re-Creation” from John 20:1-18. Invite a friend or neighbor to worship on this special Sunday.
