Easter is coming!! The weather is changing with spring in the air and it is so amazing to see the seasonal flowers (especially the lilies) as they make their appearance from the ground.
Have you noticed the activities beginning to take place all around us from the flowers, birds, squirrels and the revitalization going on in our neighborhoods? The spring cleaning is well underway at the church, too, with fresh mulch and the outdoor beautification.
We are in the midst of our revitalization with CBC and looking forward to the future. The CBC Transition Team has begun its work for this period and will be sharing plans to engage the congregation in upcoming activities.
It is amazing to see the transformation as God reveals the plans and while we look forward to the upcoming Holy Week, we are reminded of the journey that Christ took on the way to the cross. We celebrate Palm Sunday with the shouts of “Hosanna” and by Friday, there’s the loud voices in the crowd who would later say on Good Friday, “Crucify Him.”
As Jesus goes through the betrayal, arrest, suffering, trial, beatings and the pictures with Christ being nailed to the cross, we are reminded quite vividly of the price that was ultimately paid for our redemption from sin.
See you in church in-person or on-line this coming Sunday as our journey continues with great expectancy! The message, “Hosanna – Who is THIS?” from Matthew 21:1-11.
Resurrection Day is coming and we can hardly wait for the special day.
