Rev. frank walton, MA, Pastor

Rev. Frank Walton is our Intentional Interim Pastor. He earned his Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Faith International University & Seminary in Tacoma, WA. He is a trained Intentional Interim Minister through the Interim Ministry Network. Rev. Walton was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from GMOR Theological Institute of America – Midwest Region. He serves the denomination as President of ABC Metro Chicago. He has previously served as Intentional Interim of Christ Community Church of Wheaton and First Baptist Church of LaGrange. Rev. Walton is also a radio broadcaster and can occasionally be heard co-hosting with his wife Pam Morris-Walton on WVON radio in Chicago.

Sue Pastorek, Director of Music

Sue Pastorek has been the Director of Music at Community Baptist Church since 1991.  She directs the Sanctuary Choir and Joyful Noise Bell Choir, as well as providing piano and organ music for our worship services.  Sue is retired from teaching Elementary and Middle school vocal and general music in the Indian Prairie School District for 38 years.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from North Central College in Naperville. Sue is also involved in a number of other activities and ministries at CBC and sings in the Fox Valley Festival Chorus in Aurora.

Karyn DeBoer, Church Administrative Assistant

Karyn DeBoer has been working at CBC since 2007 as the church administrative assistant. Karyn comes from a background in real estate where she worked as a Private Bank Closer.  She really enjoys working at CBC, where she is very dedicated to working with and for the members of the congregation.
