Warm Greetings in Christ!
As we approach Mother’s Day, I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you and your family to join us for the service on May 12th at 10:30AM. We look forward to this special day every year at Community Baptist Church of Warrenville, IL as we celebrate these wonderful gifts called Mom!
Ephesians 6:2 says, “Honor your father and mother“— which is the first commandment with a promise— Yes, we will also celebrate fathers on Father’s Day, so be sure to join us for that special day as well!
We realize this day can also be difficult for some, especially those with difficult experiences and circumstances. Yet, we should still do our best to provide an atmosphere of appreciation and thankfulness. This can be a day of invitation as well, as often one of the gifts a mother might ask from their grown children is that “if possible,” they would attend church with her for this special day.
We will give salutes and tributes as we celebrate mothers. Our sermon will include a special message on this Ascension Sunday about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
This Sunday, May 5th will be our Communion Sunday as we gather together as the family of God and the message titled, “Love – The Abiding Fruit” from 1 John 5:1-6 & continuation from last Sunday on John 15:9-18.
