The following Warrenville churches including Community Baptist Church, St. Irene’s, Trinity Lutheran, Immanuel Presbyterian, Warrenville Bible Chapel, Hope Community, Holy Transfiguration, LaRoca, and Outreach (former known as Warrenville Youth & Family Services) are all joined together as Warrenville Persons in Ministry affectionally known as WPIM.
This ecumenical WPIM group meets monthly in collaboration to serve Warrenville and the surrounding area and our constituents at Johnson School.
Our CBC volunteers were coordinated by Mission Ministry Chairperson, Barbara S., who did an incredible job with bringing together the summer events including the National Night Out, July 4th festivities and last weekend’s Back to School event at Johnson. It was a reminder of families preparing their children for the upcoming school year and over 300 families received school supplies, face painting, balloons, watermelon, lemonade, hot dogs, tacos, and the specially crafted CBC bookmarks. Again, we express our appreciation for the entire CBC membership and the ongoing support.
The Summer Sermon Series – Progress in the Process is in full swing as we prepare for the CBC fall schedule beginning with the upcoming September Rally Sunday (Back to Church-September 17).
There will be a special message on this Sunday, titled “REIMAGINE” that will be a sermon interview with Pastor Frank and special guest former Pastor Peg. The text will come from Matthew 14:23-33 with a “Step of Faith.”
