Do you ever have expectations for something to happen and it does not happen when you thought it should? Sometimes our lives are filled with those circumstances that we are looking for Jesus in our situation and come to the realization that there is a greater purpose for our unique journey… We are on a journey and are “Becoming” may be a way to see ourselves.
It is in the Lenten Season Bible studies that the messages of Jesus doing the miraculous may have taken on new meaning for us. As we are praying for special concerns and waiting on the weekly reports, our faith is lifted to hear of the many blessings with answered prayers.
During the “Encounters with Jesus,” in this last week of our Lenten Series studies, the study will be centered on “Open-Ended.” Our lives have those “Open-Ended” moments and it is a joy to know that no matter how long it takes, God’s Plan (GPS) is always on time and will work ultimately for our good.
This Sunday’s message will complete the series of “Encounters with Jesus – Open-Ended” from John 11. The death of Lazarus was an “Open-Ended” situation and the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead gave another opportunity for the recognition of the Jesus, the Messiah. Our Lenten journey brings us closer to Holy Week and the time that we begin to consider the sad days leading to Jesus death on the cross.
