Divine Connection

We have finished January and are moving into February. While this may be the shortest month, there’s definitely no shortage of ministry activities. In light of recent events, nationally and internationally, we enter into this busy time. I encourage everyone to dedicate time for meditation and solitude.

In just a couple of weeks, we will begin the Lenten Season with our Ash Wednesday service. The journey to the cross is an opportunity to follow the path of Jesus to Good Friday and the Resurrection. The story is a reminder of what Christ went through to purchase our salvation.

As we look at this Lenten Season, our journey will include “100 Names of God” with their meaning and application. This Bible Study will provide insightful discussion bringing deeper relevancy to our BETTER Relationship, Priorities, Choices and Witness in this new year.

During our New Believers class this week, we spoke about God and in our connections with names mentioned for God. It was impressive and a joy to witness the blessings of knowing more about who God is through the various names and yet, there’s more to experience in really knowing who God is.

The sermon on this coming Sunday will conclude the series “BETTER” and is titled “WITNESS.” Our Divine Connection with God is meaningful for the “BETTER” New Year and the “BETTER” You in 2024.

Our service will include first Sunday Communion and begin Black History Month presentations for February.

Invite someone to join you in person and/or online. Our music ministry will be leading us in joyful praises to our God.
