Praying for Our Community

As I spent several days this week on the Wheaton College campus attending a conference, my passion for ministry and learning was reignited. During this time, spending time with former colleagues and new acquaintances that included opportunities to hear speakers from around the world and attend the timely workshops with innovative pastors, world-class scholars, and network leaders from throughout the country was what I needed.

Just like everything else, our time of fellowship, and how we fellowship has shifted over the past 30+ months. We’re all trying to get back to a place of sharing with others. It feels like a long overdue family reunion and gathering to catch up on what was missed.

Have you noticed the reactions of the family when their loved one returns home and surprises the child in their school or in their classroom? It’s a time of happiness and those initial moments often brings those spontaneous tears of joy that express the genuine love for each other.

Life lessons learned through experiences are great and hearing messages from others through their experiences is vital to our growth. While sharing the stories and listening to each other, we enhance the connections that bind us together.

As believers, we are strengthened and encouraged through our fellowship together. While we may have been apart from those we love and cherish, it is the LOVE of God that sustains us and keeps us each day.

The message for Sunday is titled “When WE Pray.”
Read Luke 18 and let’s hear what the LORD is saying to US.
See you in worship Sunday in-person or on-line.
