This is NOT another thing on your “To Do” list.
This is NOT a space where you have to paste a smile on your face and pretend everything is okay.
This is a time to acknowledge the knots that tie you up and confess the not’s you carry around—the many ways you feel like you’re not enough.
This is a space to let all those (k)nots loosen a bit—to hold them gently.
This is a time to find a quiet center—a sanctuary in the midst of all the grief, pain, and pressures of life.
So if your feelings this time of year are better reflected in candlelight than twinkling lights; better expressed in an achingly beautiful chant than a cheerful carol, the sanctuary of Community Baptist will be open from 7-8pm on Tuesday, December 21 to honor the longest night and hold space for you in the darkness.
