The beginning of the New Year is often filled with resolutions and new commitments. It is also a perfect time to complete unfinished projects that were carried into the New Year.
Our initial focus for this next phase in the life of CBC is “Looking Ahead.” As the year was ending, I received a communication titled “North Star.” Obviously, it caught my attention and needless to say, it brought me back to the work that continues to take place at CBC.
Over the upcoming weeks, there will be reflections on the past year filled with resolutions, recommendations and new commitments for 2024. Each accomplishment will require efforts that focus attention on the purpose.
God has a purpose for everyone and along with God’s Purpose, there’s God’s Plan and God’s Provision.
This Sunday’s message “Looking Forward” from several scriptures (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:28, Philippians 3:13-14) will prayerfully encourage us in our assignments for this Christian journey and our purpose as we continue in “Looking Forward” in 2024.
See you in worship on this first Sunday of the New Year! We will acknowledge the January birthdays and it will also be our first communion, as we begin the year together.
