Folks in our CBC family are being targeted in a texting scam. You may receive a text which appears to be from Pastor Michael, and has your name and asks for a favor. If you check, however, the originating phone number does not belong to him and has too many digits for a US number. Do not reply to the text! Delete and block the number immediately. Pastor Michael is aware, no need to contact him directly.
Pastor Michael will never contact you via text or email to ask you to buy gift cards as a favor, send a link for donations or to ask for personal financial information.
Also remember, CBC does not use a gmail based system. Any email you receive that uses our CBC name with a gmail address is a scam.
