The beginning of August is one of the first signs that summer is in its peak moments as we begin checking off our “to do” and “get it done” lists. We have all of our remaining summer plans, back to school plans and preparations for the fall on our minds. In our gardens, there are tomatoes, peppers, green vegetables reaching their prime season and ready to go from the garden to the table.

It is wonderful to see the results of the maturity from the seedlings and small plants to the harvesting time. Enjoying the fruits of our labors can be encouraging and restful. Take a moment and enjoy the time while breathing the fresh air after the rains. It is a season of refreshing and recognition of all that God has done.

Our Summer Sermon Series on this Sunday will be the continuation of “Forgive us of our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.” The biblical references will include various scriptures from 2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 103:8-12, Luke 17:3-4 & Colossians 3:13-14.

God’s Mercy is given to us as we extend mercy to others. In a world is so full of hatred and sin, we have been blessed with the model of prayer that gives us direct access to the Holy One who is Holy and Sovereign with the power to meet our daily needs.

See you in church Sunday in person or online. If you are worshipping online, please check in with our new features that let us know you are in the service.
