How quickly our time becomes consumed with the many summer activities and experiences with the joys of family. We’re in the midst of the peak summer travels and I will admit, I love summer in the Midwest with beautiful clear skies. The occasional rain that God showers down helps keep the grass green and the flowers blooming.

There are areas around the country experiencing excessive heat, heavy thunderstorms and impacts from hurricane Beryl. Our local surrounding area has been impacted by basements flooding and the need for bottled water, as well as having to boil water for home use.

Prayer is vital in our current climate of change and the importance is evident on every level in our lives. As we continue the Summer Sermon Series on prayer, we are completing the first phase with the first three petitions on this coming Sunday.

During this series and in the fellowship time, I have received comments and have had discussions on prayer. If this series has been a blessing to you and if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you too, via email at pastor@cbcwarrenville.org or feel free to speak with me in person.

It is my desire to enhance our prayer focus as we journey forward. We need God’s Blessings both now and for the future. There is Power in Prayer… Lord Teach Us To Pray.
