We continue the Advent Season this weekend with JOY.
In our previous weeks, the Advent theme of ARRIVAL has given us reflections on both HOPE and PEACE. May our daily readings and prayer emphasis provide us with a more profound meaning of this year’s theme – “ARRIVAL.”
The JOY of Christ will cause us a good reason to express how important it is to continuously realize what a blessing for the ARRIVAL celebration in this Advent Season. The families celebrating the JOY of being reconnected with their loved ones provides a glimpse of the JOY that Christ brings to us.
Each year, I’m reminded of the JOY of Christmas often brings pain to those experiencing loss of their precious family members. It is also an agonizing time for those who may be lonely and away from family.
Let us remain sensitive to others during this Advent Season and be the JOY of blessing those who are need of the JOY of Christ. Please be mindful that the smallest action may bring the greatest JOY to someone during this season of miracles.
This Sunday the CBC Choir under the direction of Joshua Piper will express the JOY of the Advent Season with the annual cantata narrated by David Ulery. This message of JOY brings to life through music an anticipation that will fill the air with “JOY To The World.”
